A beautiful Hans Fahden, Calistoga wedding shot by wedding photographers Choco Studio was selected to be the Real Wedding in the May/June 2011 issue of Bridal Guide magazine, now on newstands. And if I may say so myself, it turned out amazing!

Yael Designs at the Golden Globes

We’re really excited to see that San Francisco jewelry designer Yael Designs has been getting a lot of press coverage in recent weeks for a whole littany of its rings, earrings and pendants.

Here is Yael Designs appearing at the Golden Globes 2011 awards where Inside Edition anchor Deborah Norville paired a red David Meister dress with rubylite and morganite Yael Designs earrings. Here’s Deborah interviewing nominee Jennifer Lawrence:

Nominee and producer of “How to Train Your Dragon” Bonnie Arnold wore Yael Designs tanzanite earrings!

Summer highlights

Here are some highlights from the last few months:

Jewelry designer Yael Designs’ Pacifica tanzanite collection (and our model Krystyna) were featured on the cover of INDESIGN magazine in May

Yael’s gorgeous jewelry was also featured in Get Married magazine (see the deep blue ring in the center?):

…and Bridal Guide magazine:

Meanwhile, wedding photographer duo Choco Studio got a nice spread in Engagement 101 magazine:

Celebrity placement

Hollywood may as well be a medieval castle – if you’re on the inside you know all the dirty laundry, but if you’re on the outside breaking in takes a lot of courage, strategy and desire.

But while it’s not the easiest place to break into, Hollywood celebrity representation can make a huge difference in brand awareness for fashion brands like Yael Designs.

Celebrity placement involves stylist coordination, insurance, deadline shipping, buying stock photos and praying that the photos come out nice.

One tip: big, easily recognizable pieces work best. See the difference in these two pics of actress Melora Hardin (The Office) wearing Yael Designs jewelry at two different pre-award show parties:

Size matters: Can you see the jewelry here?                          Now, what about here?

Choco Studio rocking wedding magazine world

You know it’s wedding season when my favorite wedding photographer client Choco Studio is getting featured in one wedding magazine and blog after another! :)

Their Hawaii destination wedding was featured in the spring issue of the prestigious Destination Weddings & Honeymoons magazine:

Then, less than a month later, their Mexico destination wedding landed on the popular GetMarried magazine blog!

Choco Studio in San Francisco Chronicle

When working with clients, I try to approach getting press mentions creatively. While for wedding photographers Choco Studio I mostly concentrate on getting their beautiful wedding shots featured in wedding magazines, I also thought it was important to tell their own story. Especially because they’re themselves a recently engaged couple planning their own wedding.

We thought a wedding photographer couple planning their own wedding would be interesting. San Francisco Chronicle’s “On The Couch” writer Louise Rafkin agreed:
