From the Federal Reserve to one of San Francisco’s premier wedding venues, the\u00c2\u00a0Bently Reserve<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0has had a long and meandering history as one of this city’s important institutions. So it was with great excitement that we attended the Bently Reserve’s grand re-opening party\u00c2\u00a0last week.<\/p>\n

The Bently, which is on the\u00c2\u00a0National Register of Historic Places and has been recognized as one of San Francisco’s greenest venues, has been under renovation for the past few months and we were excited to see what’s new.<\/p>\n

The opening party, produced by Entire Productions<\/a>, centered around the renovated Banking Hall, the main event space of the downtown building. Check out the beautiful new ceiling work that allows for various cool light projections.<\/p>\n

The other major highlight\u00c2\u00a0of the renovation is the addition of the\u00c2\u00a0Adriatic Room, a 870 sq. ft. event space that used to be storage space (that’s one clever way to expand capacity!). The building, from 1924, has been able to mix today’s technology – like LED lighting system – and keep the historic charm. There is a 3D printed 1924 replica Gypsum stone florets at the entrance.<\/p>\n

The Spring Awakening Party showcased the Bently at its best – it was definitely last week’s place to see and be seen. No expenses were spared: electric violinist Shaina<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0and contortionist Teri Wing<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0were major crowd pleasers.<\/p>\n

But the highlight of the party was\u00c2\u00a0definitely\u00c2\u00a0the champagne skirt:<\/p>\n
